This is our core mission. As part of its mission, the SAAQ also carries out other key mandates, including:
- administering Québec’s public automobile insurance plan by compensating road accident victims and setting insurance contributions
- promoting road safety through awareness campaigns to improve Québec’s road safety record
- monitoring and controlling road transportation of persons and property
CSST
The Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CSST) is the organization entrusted by the Quebec government with the administration of the occupational health and safety system. To this end, it oversees the application of these two laws:
- Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
- Act respecting industrial accidents and occupational diseases (LATMP)
